Green Jelly 30th Anniversary Tour LIVE at Cult Classic with Astronaut Class & Witchbat

Green Jellÿ (aka Green Jellö) is an American comedy rock band formed in 1981 by Bill Manspeaker. As most of the band's members were poor musicians at the time, they billed themselves as "The World's Worst Band". Originally named Green Jellö, the band changed its name due to legal pressure from Kraft Foods Inc., the owners of the Jell-O brand, who claimed that it was an infringement of their trademark.

Known for sophomoric humor, theatrical performances, and intentionally crude musicianship, Green Jellÿ has had hundreds of members during its existence, with vocalist Bill Manspeaker the only consistent member throughout. Notable past members include future Tool members Danny Carey and Maynard James Keenan, who were both in Green Jellÿ during the early 1990s.

To date, the band has released five studio albums: Triple Live Möther Gööse at Budokan (1989), Cereal Killer Soundtrack (1993), 333 (1994), Musick to Insult Your Intelligence By (2009), and Garbage Band Kids (2021). They are best known for their 1992 hit "Three Little Pigs", which was adapted from the fairy tale.

The video for "Three Little Pigs" was directed by Fred Stuhr (who also directed Tool's "Sober" video), and it featured a claymation rendition of the classic fairy tale with modern twists, such as pot-smoking pigs, an appearance by Rambo, and a Harley Davidson-riding wolf. The video was No. 17 for most of the summer of 1993 in the US and received both an MTV music award and Billboard music award nomination. The song entered the UK Singles Chart at a peak position of No. 5. Serial Killer Soundtrack attained gold status in the US, New Zealand, and Canada, as well as platinum in Australia.

Joining the bill are local legends whose music has spun throughout the galaxy, Astronaut Class. And opening the evening is the hard-rocking trio from right here on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, WITCHBAT.

Sweet Leda is back and they're bringing the ruckus with Grilled Lincolns joining the bill!
Both bands will feature Ricky Wise on drums. Get ready for another sold-out night of incredible music from the great state of Maryland.

Powered by Julie Cymek’s sultry, commanding vocals and electrifying stage presence, Sweet Leda knows how to get the party started! In fact, Lou Plaia (co-founder of Reverbnation) describes them as “the highlight of every festival they play.” With its rich blend of new school funk, psychedelic rock, soul and pop, Sweet Leda’s heartfelt original music can best be described as a female-fronted, soul-based, Zeppelin meets Chili Peppers! 

Since the year 2000, The Grilled Lincolns have been making a blend of music built on a foundation of rock, informed by hip-hop and funk, and sprinkled with elements of everything else that catches their attention, from comedy to Go-Go music.  

Guitarist and singer Riddie Becker came up in the tradition of the blues-based rock and roll guitar god, striving to emulate the skill of Hendrix’s solos and Stevie Ray Vaughn’s cadence. Becker’s chops shine in the band’s unpretentious rock songs, but also during improvised jam sessions when he’s backed up by bassist/guitarist Mike Bakke and percussionist Andy Hall. Both have honed their craft as rap lyricists and are capable of freestyling in a range of flows and styles, stringing together observations and punchlines about any topic that comes to mind. Bassist Ben Gilbert and drummer Kevin Shook are the backbone of the band, keeping the rhythm rocking, fun and funky. 

The G-Linx have shared the stage with some of the bands that have influenced them the most, including The Roots, George Clinton, Chuck Brown, Method Man and Redman, Slick Rick, Wax, and Souls of Mischief. 

The band is part of a rich musical community based around Annapolis, Maryland that punches above its weight in terms of skill and creative output. Bumpin Uglies, Higher Hands, Pressing Strings, and Joey Harkum are all frequent collaborators from the stage to the studio.

The Queen Anne's County Brewer's Coalition (Big Truck, Bull & Goat, Cult Classic, Patriot Acres & Ten Eyck) are teaming up to once again give Queen Anne’s County the LOCALEST Beer Fest ever. 
This 21+ event will include a commemorative cup you can fill with pours from the five breweries in Queen Anne's County (QAC), access to the best music and live entertainment in QAC, and the finest food trucks in Queen Anne’s County. a cornhole tournament (details at the bottom), and we can't forget about the benefits. We're doing this all for QAC Charities.
 
Portions of the proceeds will be donated to local charity partners of each brewery. You can choose your charity when you get purchase tickets.

Big Truck is teaming up with American Saltwater Guides Association, Bull & Goat is teaming up with Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center
 Cult Classic is teaming up with Giving The Edge Foundation
Patriot Acres Farm Brewing is teaming up with P.E.R.F and Ten Eyck is teaming up with Animal Welfare League.

We'll have live music & comedy throughout the day and your favorite food trucks on site including Jimmy's Fat Rolls, Crunch Stax, Belly Bustin' Grill, Walker Family Deep Fried Seafood and BBQ Bueno.
Our gracious host, Kent Island Resort, will also have wine and locally sourced cocktails available for purchase.
Rain or shine, this indoor/outdoor event will run from 11am to 4pm.

Hustle Souls is an Asheville, NC based soul band who blend dust-covered-vinyl nostalgia with modern sensibility; recently named a MusicConnection Magazine Hot 100 Live Unsigned Artists & Bands. Hustle Souls music has been called a "generation-jumping mashup of new school second line funk with old school vintage soul." American Blues Scene and “intimate soul...with a Curtis Mayfield like warmth.” Bluestown Music. Roaring B3 organ, jubilant brass and ripping electric guitar are balanced with 3-part vocal harmony and a lust for songwriting that earned them spot in the 2020International Songwriting Competition semi-finals and has been praised as“worthy of being included in that brilliant soul music canon, a heritage that features some of the greatest performers and writers that have ever graced this earth...”Aldora Britian Records. Joining the bill is one of our absolute favorites, Ben Heemstra and b. band. 

Ben Heemstra is a multi-instrumentalist who fronts his collaborative project titled "b.en" His style can be described as a complementary blend of R&B/Soul mixed with Funk. He has two studio singles and a live EP out on streaming services.  This tall drink of water tickles the ivory and croons from the bottom of his big beautiful heart in notes that bring the galaxy together.

Books & Beers - Open Season

Books and Beer returns with another star-studded cast of books for 2023.
This event is free and open to all who have read (You do not have to be 21).

The book club discusses the book and questions about it for the first hour and spends the final 30 minutes casting it as a film.miniseries while cutting up over beverages.
