Williams, John Nemeth, and others- Max started his own band using the all star up and coming Memphis musicians that he met through playing with those notable artists. After recording his debut album during the pandemic of 2020, Max set to touring with the band. The Magics bring a fiery mix of original rock & roll, heavy blues, and sensual soul music. They've performed over 200 shows in Memphis, regionally, and nationally.

"Feed Your Head" with The Dave Tieff Experiment

“Feed Your Head”

Dave Tieff, singer of Laughing Colors, has a brand new project: The Dave Tieff Experiment.

It’s a high energy mix of originals and classic songs, with an all star lineup of Kevin Basiliko on sax, Adam Iacarino on guitar, Andrew O’Donnell on bass and Jamaal Turner on drums. The band will pay homage to artists like Jimi Hendrix, Bradley Nowell (Sublime), Jerry Garcia, John Bonham (Led Zeppelin) and other legends who succumbed to substance abuse.

They will be joined by Elephants Dancing from Northeast PA and their special brand of reggae, ska, punk, and hip-hop. Along with singer/songwriter Adam Almony and his acoustic mastery.

A portion of each ticket will go to the Jed Foundation to promote mental health and prevent teen suicide. 

Reserved seats are $30 which includes a seat at a four-person reserved table.

Jerry Tripsters - Jerry Garcia Band Tribute LIVE at Cult

The Jerry Tripsters came into being as a cobbled together ensemble formed on the spot to fill an empty slot at a local Grateful Dead festival.  Not only had they never rehearsed, but some members had never even met.   However, from the first song played together the chemistry was undeniable, the audience wanted more, and the band was eager to oblige. 

Members of the Jerry Tripsters come from some of the most accomplished Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia tribute acts in the DC/MD/VA region including Splintered Sunlight, Better Off Dead, On The Bus, Stewbone, and the DC Mystery Cats.  Their canvas is the extensive work of Jerry Garcia with a focus on the Jerry Garcia Band, but they add their own special flavor to the songs that have been the soundtrack to many of our lives.  

As Jason Herman from DC Music Review says “It should be stated that this band is not a note-for-note tribute to the music of Jerry Garcia. What differentiates this band from others is that the performance embraces and is true to the original works, yet more readily welcomes the jam exploration by each artist on stage.  The Jerry Tripsters were meant to be playing together.” 

When you come see a Jerry Tripsters show, we can promise you three things:   

Joy:  the smiles of the band members and audience are ever present and infectious.   

Jam:  With the wink of an eye or a sly nod, The Tripsters are not afraid to take songs to unexplored musical directions.   

Jerry:   The Tripsters dig deep into the Jerry Garcia catalog while focusing on the all-time favorites that the audience knows and loves.

This five piece outfit weaves together an exciting live performance using fibers of delicate folk, up to energetic, high-octane country-grass-rock n' soul. Cult Classic is hosting Matt The Mind Noodler for a one-of-a-kind comedy magic show!

The Las Vegas Review Journal recently named Matt Donnelly, “Las Vegas’s Best Up and Coming Comedy Magician”. His act, The Mind Noodler has been dazzling audiences across the North America with his unique and hilarious brand of magic and one of a kind story. Many years ago while working as head writer on Penn & Teller Fool Us, Penn Jillette challenged Matt to learn one trick. He said “It’s harder that you think…but you might be better at it than you think”. So he did learn one trick…from 7 different magicians! He put all 7 tricks together and made his first show. 

Matt spent years on tour opening for “Piff The Magic Dragon” with his unique take on magic. Now, he tours with his own Mind Noodling show, amazing audiences across North America at prestigious magic venues like LA’s Magic Castle, The Chicago Magic Lounge, and Nashville’s House of Cards while also headlining at the Second Bell Comedy Festival in Tennessee. Offstage. Matt is the cohost’s of Penn Jillette’s award winning podcast, Penn’s Sunday School as well as magic podcast, Abracababble and just wrapped his 9th season as head writer of Fool Us for the CW.

Long before he ever thought of dipping his toes into magic, Matt crushed the Las Vegas comedy world. He played the Las Vegas strip alongside Wayne Brady in the smash-hit improv comedy show "Making It Up" at the Venetian, he played Christian Grey in the ridiculously funny "50 Shades the Parody" at Bally's, and he hosted the innovative and hilarious show, "Executive Monkeys" at The Palms.

Ah the open road.
The United States of America and the feeling of freedom on the freeway, there's nothing quite like it. But you can't drive forever, you gotta fuel up, the vehicle and the beast you're inside of. So you peel off the exit and commence the hunt for sustenance. 

Sure, you could eat a cheeseburger inside of a hotdog with plop nacho cheese and wash it down with a 64oz guzzler, OR... you could track down the states most popular cuisine and really immerse yourself in the experience.

Here at Cult Classic, we dream about all the food, all day long, so we're kicking off Freeway Friday. Every Friday, we're picking a different state and serving up their finest fare (while it lasts) to you.
Doors open at 11am and as always, your first lunch beer is just $5.
